Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Converter Engineer to join our converter development team, bringing expertise in power electronics tailored for renewable applications. You will be an integral part of a high-performance team responsible for the design of converter control systems for the renewable energy sector.
Your tasks will include:
- Reviewing certification standards for converters and control cabinets across wind, solar, and battery sectors.
- Defining testing protocols to ensure compliance with certification standards.
- Designing, modifying, and operating test rigs for validation and certification testing.
- Defining instrumentation requirements, overseeing installation, and gathering data.
- Attending external laboratories to conduct specific certification tests.
- Generating comprehensive test reports.
- Providing support for manufacturing test benches.
- Engaging in troubleshooting during production and field operations.
- Participating in converter validation to ensure adherence to design specifications in collaboration with the converter design team.
- Following quality processes throughout the execution of testing procedures.
- Collaborating with various teams within the organization to assist in presales, commissioning, and aftersales activities.
- This role may involve travel to various sites as required.
- Active participation in validation processes at designated test facilities is expected.
Qualifications:
A passion for renewable energy and a commitment to driving change are essential. We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A technical degree specializing in electronics or electrical engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of power electronics, testing instrumentation, and certification standards.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in testing and validating power electronics within the renewable energy sector.
- Proficiency in analysis, diagnosis, and problem-solving for complex systems.
- Fluency in both Spanish and English (minimum B2 level).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with Python or MATLAB is advantageous.
