Job Summary

Qair is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Development Lead to join our Offshore Wind team in Spain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the technical relationship with stakeholders, supporting project development, and ensuring the successful execution of offshore wind projects.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical development of offshore wind projects, including design, engineering, and construction;
  • Collaborate with business developers and stakeholders to establish and maintain relationships with local suppliers and partners;
  • Support the preparation of project bids for upcoming auctions in Spain and Portugal;
  • Manage contract negotiations with subcontractors and ensure the fulfillment of their scope of work;
  • Evaluate and follow up on local, regional, and national regulations and competitive process rules to inform technical and supply chain strategies;
  • Identify new opportunities for offshore wind activities in Spain and Portugal, including R&D and port projects;
  • Develop and present investment memorandums for greenfield project development and/or acquisition;
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key industrial and technical stakeholders to support competitive process bids and permitting;
  • Ensure smooth cooperation between internal departments and effective communication across the organization;
  • Report on activities to Group management and support other departments during negotiation processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in offshore projects, preferably in technical and development positions;
  • Master's degree in engineering;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish, with Portuguese a plus;
  • Rigorous, methodical, and team-oriented with the ability to work autonomously;
  • Strong understanding of complex financial models and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
