Job Title: Cloud Engineer

At Zurich, we are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Transformation Organisation. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, provisioning, configuring, automating, monitoring, and supporting the Azure Cloud Platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop platform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to support global business applications and operations.
  • Enhance the Cloud Platform to accelerate cloud adoption by developing platform and IaC.
  • Assist in the development of processes and practices to support migration of workloads to public cloud.
  • Enforce continuous compliance to industry operation and security standards through automation.
  • Develop code to support the safe orchestration and release of infrastructure, applications, and workloads to Cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud solutions.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment of applications and infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in Azure cloud engineering.
  • Code-first/automate-everything attitude.
  • Experience of managing public/private cloud technologies on Azure in a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Relevant degree or diploma programme of study.
  • Experience with one or more Infrastructure as Code Languages: Terraform, ARM, Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
  • Experience writing code in at least one of the following languages: Java,.NET, Node.js, PHP, Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Go(lang), Rust.
  • Experience of working to DevOps principles and in an Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with the Git version control platforms.
  • Troubleshooting experience in virtual/cloud infrastructures.
  • Proven experience of working within supplier-led service delivery models.
  • Proven ability to succeed in collaborative work environments using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
