Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer to spearhead the development of our backend system, which serves as the cornerstone of our customers' booking journey.

This system intricately integrates with multiple external platforms, requiring a proactive and experienced engineer to design and deploy various APIs catering to internal consumption and external partnerships.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of hands-on experience in developing client-side systems, with proficiency in working with Event-Driven architecture and expertise in queue management utilizing technologies such as Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Kinesis, or similar platforms.

They will also have demonstrated experience in developing cloud-based systems using AWS or equivalent cloud services, contributing to the design, architecture, and development lifecycle of products and services.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in delivering highly scalable, quality software, with a strong focus on testing and scalability.

They will be proficient in Domain Driven Design principles, coupled with extensive knowledge of API design and a strong testing mindset, preferably with exposure to Test-Driven Development (TDD).

The ideal candidate will also possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively engage both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy various APIs catering to internal consumption and external partnerships.
  • Develop cloud-based systems using AWS or equivalent cloud services.
  • Contribute to the design, architecture, and development lifecycle of products and services.
  • Deliver highly scalable, quality software with a strong focus on testing and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new features.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the company.
Requirements
  • At least 6 years of hands-on experience in developing client-side systems.
