Job DescriptionWe're seeking a seasoned Senior Backend Software Engineer to spearhead the development of our backend system, serving as the cornerstone of our customers' booking journey.
This system intricately integrates with multiple external platforms, requiring a proactive and detail-oriented individual with expertise in crafting reusable and tidy code.
The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of hands-on experience in developing client-side systems, proficiency in working with Event-Driven architecture, and expertise in queue management using technologies like Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Kinesis, or similar platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy various APIs for internal consumption and external partnerships.
- Develop cloud-based systems using AWS or equivalent cloud services.
- Contribute to the design, architecture, and development lifecycle of products and services.
- Deliver highly scalable, quality software with a strong focus on testing and scalability.
- Apply Domain Driven Design principles and extensive knowledge of API design.
- Engage in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and have a strong testing mindset.
Desirable Skills:
- Proficient knowledge in the Symfony framework.
- A constant learning mentality and interest in new technologies.
- Experience in integrating disparate systems using various technologies.
- Familiarity with CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation) architecture.
- Demonstrated interest in machine learning and a track record of building data-driven solutions.
