Job Summary

Gas Power Finance is seeking a highly skilled Financial Compliance Expert to drive technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis according to Spanish GAAP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Statutory Regulatory Filings: Ensure all statutory regulatory filings are completed timely, efficiently, and in compliance with country regulatory requirements, including branches, legal entities, and statutory consolidations from outside the US.
  • Financial Analysis: Utilize in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy, with basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
  • Team Leadership: Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience, lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements, and convey performance expectations.
  • Operational Excellence: Function with some autonomy, subject to functional practices and precedents, and modify procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability.
  • Problem-Solving: Use some judgment and propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems, and prioritize information for data analysis.
Requirements
  • Advanced Experience: Advanced experience in Finance & Statutory, with knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma with relevant experience.
  • Spanish Finance Expertise: Advances experience in Spanish Finance and Statutory, Auditing experience.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in xls, good knowledge of Office package.
