The successful candidate will design and implement a user-friendly VR interface for the simulator, focusing on real-time feedback, ease of use, interactivity, and customization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a user-friendly VR interface for the cloth simulator, emphasizing real-time feedback, ease of use, interactivity, and customization.
- Expand the cloth model to include garments with complex designs, considering seams and mixed materials.
- Optimize the cloth model for handling collisions, especially on surfaces like folding tables.
- Integrate virtual robotic environments to model robot-cloth interactions with different grasping modes.
Requirements:
- PhD in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- Proficiency in mathematical modeling, optimization, and data science techniques.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++.
- Experience with cloth simulators or virtual reality environments.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with virtual reality development tools and frameworks.
- Experience with robotic manipulation and control systems.
