Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Strategy Leader to join our team at ES06 (FCRS = ES006) Novartis Farmacéutica in Barcelona. As a key member of our Medical Affairs team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a high-quality medical strategy for our disease area(s) and brand(s) throughout their life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Medical Strategy: Collaborate with global and regional teams to design and implement innovative medical affairs plans that address medical needs, including evidence generation and RWE, HEOR, digital tech, innovative education, and scientific communication.
  2. Lead Medical Team: Build and lead a high-performing Medical team in the area, working closely with other key areas, such as commercial and access, to serve as a lead in the diseases for internal stakeholders and external customers.
  3. Capacity Development: Provide a capacity development plan for field medical associates, in collaboration with the MSL Head, including disease area and product-specific content to train medical associates in the region or country.
  4. Compliance and Governance: Ensure the design and execution of all medical activities in accordance with applicable company policies and external legislation.

Requirements:

  1. Scientific Background: MD or PhD/PharmD in Health Sciences or Life Sciences
  2. Leadership Experience: Proven solid experience as direct leadership & people management
  3. Medical Affairs Experience: Profound working experiences in Medical Affairs and/or Development
  4. Industry Experience: At least 6 years of experience in the pharma industry
  5. Strategic Position: Experience in strategic positions and deep understanding of the field roles
  6. Data Generation: Experience in data generation

Desirable Requirements:

  1. International Experience: International or global experience or experience in another country
  2. Cross-Functional Experience: Cross-functional work experiences
  3. TA Expertise: TA expertise in onco-haematology areas

Language Requirements:

  1. Local Language: Fluent written and spoken
  2. English: Fluent written and spoken
