Job Title: Senior Accountant

Rakuten TV is a leading streaming platform, available in 42 countries of Europe, offering premium Hollywood and local content across various access types: Transactional Video-on-demand, AVOD, or FAST. As a Senior Accountant, you will be part of Rakuten Group, a global technology conglomerate with a wide range of services for consumers and businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with multiple business teams to generate consolidated billings for cross-border and cross-business unit activities.
  • Reconcile revenue, billings, COGS, and internal DOMO reports to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Provide revenue and GP analysis by regions and clients.
  • Consult with the tax team to review and update tax logic and policy with business expansion.
  • Manage intercompany processes, including intercompany settlement, reconciliation, and monthly reporting.
  • Work with reseller and programmatic partners to obtain reports for auto pay.
  • Send AR statements to clients and coordinate with multiple teams to collect in a timely manner.
  • Work with external firms to obtain credit reports.
  • Provide guidance and support to regions and business units.
  • Supply information to internal and external audit teams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 3-4 years of work experience in advertising, with a focus on media.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated strengths in organizational, attention-to-detail, follow-through, reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to seek underlying assumptions.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Passionate about timeliness and accuracy.
  • Strong technical skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
