**Key Responsibilities of the Role**

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing the Electrical Systems package, ensuring seamless integration with other project components.
  • Coordinating site safety initiatives, working closely with the Electrical Project Manager and Mercury Safety Advisor to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Driving a culture of quality, health, and safety within the team, promoting a 'Right First Time' approach to ensure exceptional results.
  • Managing site QA, collaborating with the Mercury QA Manager to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Overseeing project schedules, working with the Mercury Project Manager, consulting engineer, and client requirements to ensure timely delivery.
  • Managing costs associated with the Electrical package, including labor, materials, sub-contractors, and plant/equipment.
  • Coordinating day-to-day site operations, ensuring that all activities are aligned with company policies and procedures.
  • Managing sub-contractor activities, tracking progress against schedules and manpower levels, and ensuring regular meetings with sub-contractors.
  • Implementing the Mercury 'In Progress' snagging system, ensuring that supervisors return weekly punch lists and that all snags are distributed to sub-contractors.
  • Issuing direct labor hours and sub-contractor hours to the time administrator for centralized tracking.
  • Attending site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, planning and coordination meetings, and handover meetings.
  • Closing out all project items, including final accounts, O&M manuals, punch lists, safety files, QA files, material and plant relocations, and project plans, with the support of the site project manager and project team.
  • Issuing internal and external weekly progress reports, highlighting progress percentage complete based on WBS codes, any concerns, and risk elements within Mercury's control.
  • Reviewing design and scope, raising RFIs, coordinating draughting and modeling with other trades, and ensuring as-built works are completed.
  • Ensuring all works are completed to specification, including reviewing and submitting technical submittals.
  • Scheduling material deliveries to correspond with the project schedule, tracking deliveries, and maintaining a weekly project photographic diary.
  • Performing all other duties associated with the role.
  • Establishing performance and delivery criteria, ensuring client requirements are met.
  • Liaising with the client to establish a trusting relationship and ensure future project opportunities.
  • Developing and administering quality control provisions, liaising on project cost estimating and value engineering as appropriate.
  • Liaising with the client on KPI development and implementation.
  • Championing Mercury's Safety implementation on site and at site Safety Leadership Teams.
  • Championing Mercury's Quality focus on site and implementing 'Right First Time' measures.
  • Tracking and reporting at weekly client update meetings.
  • Liaising with the Commercial team to ensure contracts, purchase orders, payment certificates, and change orders are issued in accordance with company policies.
  • Managing the Mercury team on site and coordinating internal resources regarding travel, etc.
  • Planning all resources, including labor, materials, and sub-contractors.
  • Managing and driving a team to meet all project requirements and deadlines.
