About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant to join our team at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC). As a Research Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our research activities and contributing to the development of new computational methods and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and evaluate model results against observations, creating graphs and reports to facilitate scientific progress.
  • Develop CFD simulations of real locations in Barcelona, utilizing your expertise in fluids dynamics and statistical methods in R and/or Python.
  • Collaborate with scientists and IT developers in a multidisciplinary research environment, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Requirements
  • Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a strong foundation in mathematics and computational methods.
  • Have experience in statistical methods in R and/or Python, with a proven ability to work in a professional environment and within a multidisciplinary research team.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of fluids dynamics and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
