Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Scientist to join our team at GE Healthcare. As an MR Clinical Research Scientist, you will play a key role in driving the development and validation of advanced MR imaging applications.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Deliver New MR Applications

Utilize your expertise to design, develop, and deliver new or improved MR imaging applications that meet the needs of our customers.

Support MR Research Partners

Collaborate with MR research partners, with a focus on key academic and clinical sites in Southern Europe, to advance the field of MR imaging.

Advise on Technical and Clinical Innovations

Provide technical and clinical expertise to colleagues in Product Marketing and Applications to inform the development of new products.

Move Project Initiatives Forward

Utilize your expertise to drive project initiatives forward and ensure successful outcomes.

Support Research Proposals and Publications

Assist in writing research proposals, journal publications, and technical documents to advance the field of MR imaging.

Participate in Customer Presentations

Participate in customer presentations and scanner demonstrations to showcase the capabilities of our MR imaging technology.

Qualifications and Requirements
  1. Ph.D. or Equivalent Experience

A Ph.D. (or M.Sc. with equivalent experience) in Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Biomedical/Electrical/Software Engineering, or a related field is required.

Demonstrated Record of Innovation

A demonstrated record of innovation and development in MR imaging research is essential.

Strong Language Skills

Strong regional language skills, including Spanish and Italian, as well as English fluency, are required.

Can-Do Attitude

A can-do attitude, flexibility, and intellectual curiosity are essential for success in this role.

Quality Focus

A focus on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement is critical.

Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel 30% of the time is required.

Desired Characteristics
  1. Experience in MR Imaging Research

3+ years of experience in MR imaging research or a closely related field is desired.

Experience in Clinical Environment

Experience in a clinical environment, such as a radiology or cardiology department, is highly valued.

Programming Experience

Programming experience in C/C++ and experience with pulse sequence modification and/or recon programming are highly desirable.

Academic and Clinical Research Experience

Experience with academic and/or clinical research collaborations is highly valued.

MR Experience in Specific Application Areas

Candidates with MR experience in specific application areas, such as neuro, body, cardiac, vascular, or musculoskeletal, are especially welcome.
