Job Summary

As a Clinical Research Scientist at GE Healthcare, you will play a key role in driving the development and validation of advanced MR imaging applications. In close collaboration with our clinical and academic research partners, you will leverage your expertise to explore, develop, and translate innovative MR imaging solutions into product offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Deliver New MR Applications: Utilize your educational qualifications to design and implement new or improved MR imaging applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.
  • Support MR Research Partners: Collaborate with key academic and clinical sites in Southern Europe to support the development and implementation of MR research initiatives.
  • Advise Product Marketing and Applications: Provide technical and clinical expertise to inform the development of new products, ensuring they meet the needs of our customers and the market.
  • Contribute to Research Proposals and Publications: Assist in the development of research proposals, journal publications, and technical documents, showcasing your expertise and the value of our MR imaging solutions.
  • Participate in Customer Presentations and Demonstrations: Engage with customers to showcase the capabilities and benefits of our MR imaging solutions, building strong relationships and driving business growth.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Ph.D. or M.Sc. in a Relevant Field: Hold a Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Biomedical/Electrical/Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong Regional Language Skills: Possess strong regional language skills, including Spanish and Italian, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • English Fluency: Demonstrate fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with global teams.
  • Can-Do Attitude and Flexibility: Exhibit a can-do attitude, with flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Quality, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement Focus: Demonstrate a strong focus on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Willingness to Travel: Be willing to travel up to 30% of the time, with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
Desired Characteristics
  • 3+ Years of MR Imaging Research Experience: Possess 3+ years of experience in MR imaging research or a closely related field.
  • Experience in a Clinical Environment: Have experience working in a clinical environment, such as a radiology or cardiology department.
  • Programming Experience: Possess programming experience in C/C++, with expertise in pulse sequence modification and/or recon programming.
  • Academic and Clinical Research Collaboration Experience: Have experience collaborating with academic and clinical research partners, with a strong understanding of the research landscape.
  • MR Experience in a Specific Application Area: Possess experience working in a specific MR application area, such as neuro, body, cardiac, vascular, or musculoskeletal imaging.
