We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vector Control Operations Manager to join our team at Acuity International. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating vector control services, including pest control, feral animal trapping, and bird mitigation, to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate vector control services, including pest control, feral animal trapping, and bird mitigation, to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our clients.
- Develop and implement effective Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs to minimize the use of pesticides and promote environmentally friendly practices.
- Conduct regular IPM inspections and complete assigned paperwork to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Ensure all pesticide usages meet requirements per IPM, and as laid out in the PWS and IPMP, and is applied according to label instructions.
- Maintain a safe workplace and ensure that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
- Implement and follow a safety plan and provide instructions for the proper use and wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Responsible for facility custodianship of vector and pest control work area and management of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Assists in developing/updating the integrated pest management plan (IPMP) when requested.
- Maintains effective, timely and respectful communication and interaction with other employees, supervisors, managers, and supports other organizations.
- May perform other administrative tasks including service order requests, 1532-1, material ordering, inventory, and work scheduling.
- Collects, analyzes, and summarizes data for report preparation and submits written reports.
- Minimum of three to five years of verifiable pesticide application experience is required.
- Prior lead experience of other personnel in pest control/vector control is required.
- Prior feral animal trapping/animal control experience is required.
- Prior experience controlling and or handling venomous arthropods and snakes is required.
- Knowledge of all principles and processes involved in IPM, vector and pest control functions.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer services.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
- Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to become an active and functioning member of a multi-cultural team.
- Must have the ability to be innovative.
- Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.
- Initiative and problem-solving competencies required.
- Good computer, research, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required.
- Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at average intermediate skill levels.
