Job Title: Vector Control Foreman

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vector Control Foreman to join our team at Acuity International. As a Vector Control Foreman, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating vector control services, including pest control, feral animal trapping, and bird mitigation, for our clients in Iraq.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate vector control services, including pest control, feral animal trapping, and bird mitigation.
  • Develop and implement an effective Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program.
  • Ensure compliance with IPMP requirements and label/SDS requirements.
  • Conduct and coordinate feral animal trapping/capture missions according to established humane animal handling standards.
  • Train and supervise local national staff in vector control techniques.
  • Perform IPM inspections and complete assigned paperwork.
  • Maintain a safe workplace and ensure safety is the highest priority.
  • Implement and follow a safety plan and provide instructions for the proper use and wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist in developing/updating the integrated pest management plan (IPMP) when requested.
  • Communicate effectively with other employees, supervisors, managers, and support other organizations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three to five years of verifiable pesticide application experience.
  • Prior lead experience of other personnel in pest control/vector control.
  • Prior feral animal trapping/animal control experience.
  • Prior experience controlling and/or handling venomous arthropods and snakes.
  • Knowledge of all principles and processes involved in IPM, vector and pest control functions.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer services.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to become an active and functioning member of a multi-cultural team.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements:

  • Night work may be required.
  • The employee will be exposed to high, precarious places, extreme heat, and austere conditions.
  • Most work will be outdoors, exposed to the environment.
