Cardiac Sonographer

As a Cardiac Sonographer at Medcruit, you will play a critical role in the performance of echocardiograms, working closely with the Cardiology Practice Manager and medical staff to ensure quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain echocardiography services in accordance with standards established by the American Society of Echocardiography and State and Federal agencies.
- Operate the laboratory daily, ensuring technical excellence and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director, medical staff, and technical staff to provide high-quality patient care.
- Perform echo exams on patients as ordered by physicians, prioritizing trauma and critically ill patients.
- Select and apply proper ultrasound techniques to provide optimal quality ultrasounds.
- Position and instruct patients regarding procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Review and agree to abide by the Compliance Program, maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
- Backup studies and copy them to disc as needed for review.
- Adhere to hospital and department policies and procedures, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the smooth operation of the laboratory.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.
- Maintain required records, documents, and statistics, providing valuable insights for quality improvement.
- Participate in in-service and out-service professional educational programs, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.
- Attend cardiology department meetings, engaging in open communication and collaboration.
