About the Role:
Amazon Spain Services, S.L.U. is expanding its operations and is in search of a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to enhance our Streaming team.
This role involves contributing to ongoing projects as well as creating and implementing innovative features. As a key member of the development team, your expertise will be invaluable.

Key Responsibilities:
- Producing high-quality C/C++ code for Ring devices.
- Demonstrating proactive communication and technical leadership.
- Designing and implementing real-time streaming protocols such as RTP/RTCP for embedded Linux and RTOS environments.
- Enhancing video encoding and decoding across various hardware platforms.
- Developing algorithms for bandwidth control and adaptive streaming.
- Integrating with specific audio/video hardware and firmware interfaces.
- Profiling and optimizing code for memory, CPU, and power efficiency.
- Collaborating to troubleshoot streaming issues in operational environments.

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in mentoring, technical leadership, or leading engineering teams.
- Proven track record in architecture and design of new and existing systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated experience in software and streaming development using C/C++, particularly in the embedded and IoT domains.
- Field experience in creating high-performance, low-latency video streaming solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to varied audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- In-depth knowledge of modern C/C++ programming languages and algorithm theory.
- Familiarity with Linux systems and RTOS operating system internals.
- Experience with video and audio encoding (AVC, HEVC, OPUS, etc.) and streaming technologies (WebRTC, RTP, RTSP, etc.).
- Understanding of network programming and web-related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS).
