We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bell and Door Attendant to join our team at Fairmont Pittsburgh, a 4 diamond LEED certified luxury hotel. As a Bell and Door Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and creating a welcoming environment for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Service: Provide a warm welcome to all arriving guests, act as the first/last point of contact, and bid farewell to guests as they depart.
- Luggage Services: Assist guests with luggage and secured luggage storage, and execute curbside check-in.
- Lobby Maintenance: Maintain the lobby area and door entrance, ensuring it is always immaculate and well-maintained.
- Knowledge and Assistance: Be knowledgeable about Pittsburgh attractions, directions, and cultural scene, and assist guests with any inquiries or requests.
- Relationship Building: Maintain relationships with limousine and cab services, and escort guests to their destinations within the hotel.
- Team Collaboration: Assist the front office team with check-ins/outs as needed, and participate in colleague briefings and formal communication meetings.
- Adherence to Standards: Follow all established standards and procedures set out by the hotel and the department, and consistently offer professional, engaging, and friendly service.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in a luxury property is an asset.
- Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and execute guest requests through strong organizational skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with great communication ability.
- Standing and Walking: Constant standing and walking throughout shifts.
- Lifting and Moving: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Must have proof of valid U.S. work authorization.
