Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Director to lead our engineering and reliability function. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of our engineering department, directly reporting to the Operations Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Vision: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the maintenance department, ensuring that safety, quality, customer service, and cost goals are successfully achieved.
- Facilities Maintenance: Ensure optimal operation of all ancillary and peripheral systems in the plant, implementing a facility maintenance program and coordinating contracts with suppliers for preventive maintenance.
- Master Maintenance Program: Establish and manage a master maintenance program to provide optimum reliability to the operation of our manufacturing and ancillary systems, using computerized maintenance programs to track performance.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage annual budgets, tracking spending and ensuring financial targets are achieved.
- Training and Development: Develop and execute hiring and training programs to ensure the correct performance of personnel in meeting operational support requirements.
- Process Improvement: Creatively promote and generate improvement ideas, developing funding strategies to optimize equipment functioning and implement TPM as an operating basis for the department.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure site compliance with all local and federal regulations, including air permits, waste water, storm water, and spill prevention.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field in a scientific/technical discipline.
- Experience: Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably within a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Skills: Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of maintenance technicians. Experience in design and maintenance of complex manufacturing equipment, problem-solving, and budget management.
