Position OverviewAs a Business Controller, you will work closely with finance and business management to support key decisions. You will play a critical role in translating business topics into financials and challenging them. Your responsibilities will include financial planning, reporting, and analysis based on business information.
Key Responsibilities- Be the finance SPOC and key person for your scope, helping the business to translate strategic decisions into financials and using financials to steer in the right direction.
- Prepare a variety of financial analyses and presentations independently, providing information to executive management.
- Understand the business model and market to challenge the business where needed.
- Manage risks and opportunities together within your business based on financials and business discussions.
- Own the budget, forecast, and long-term planning of your scope.
- Story-build actuals and challenge financials, comparing with budget, forecast, and previous year, as well as historical trends of your scope.
- Interact with local accounting and billing/invoicing teams.
- Provide ad hoc analysis to support management with financial decisions.
- Initiate and contribute to continuous improvement of processes.
- Participate in local and global initiatives, which may require occasional travel.
We are looking for a pro-active individual with a critical mindset and hands-on attitude. You should have a Master's degree in Economics, Accounting, Corporate Finance, or similar, and 5 years of relevant working experience within finance, with controlling experience being a must. You should be fluent in spoken and written English, and have strong analytical and numerical skills. Knowledge of SAP4Hana and Power BI is a plus.
