About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional General Counsel to join our team at Enerpac Tool Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's legal strategy and providing expert advice to our commercial leadership and broader organization in EMEAI.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that contracts are in compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies.
- Monitor the contract process to assure compliance with the company's contractual guidelines, customer specifications, and company policy.
- Provide advice on employment law matters, including termination of contracts and restraint of trade enforcement.
- Advise on patent, copyright, or trademark matters.
- Examine legal data to determine advisability and/or risk associated with defending or prosecuting a lawsuit.
- Monitor legal developments across the EMEAI region and support the General Counsel and business on preparation for future legal developments.
- Appoint and liaise with outside legal counsel as needed.
- Provide legal advice on mergers and acquisitions.
- Support regional-specific legal compliance activities.
- Coordinate and manage legal entity maintenance and corporate secretarial activity.
- Support the HSEQ function as needed to promote and enforce safety awareness and improvement.
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times, both internally and externally.
Requirements
- Fully licensed and qualified attorney.
- 5+ years of experience as in-house legal counsel.
- Significant experience across the EMEAI geographic region.
- Manufacturing/Industrial experience (preferred).
- Public company experience (preferred).
