We are seeking a highly skilled Citrix & Microsoft Virtualization Expert to join our IT operation team at Robert Walters Spain. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing Citrix and Microsoft terminal server environments and deploying software applications across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities:- Environment Management: Manage and maintain Citrix and Microsoft Terminal server environments, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Terminal Server Solutions: Support in designing and implementing terminal server solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Platform Configuration: Daily tasks include maintaining and configuring the platform to meet business requirements, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve Citrix-related issues, focusing on performance optimization, resource optimization, and connectivity issues, while considering agreed SLAs.
- Documentation and Best Practices: Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices for Citrix environment management and software deployment processes.
- Infrastructure Collaboration: Collaborate with infrastructure teams to plan and execute Citrix upgrades, patches, and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Software Deployment: Lead and execute software deployment tasks, including packaging, testing, and rollout of applications using tools such as Microsoft SCCM, Ivanti DSM, or similar.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with software vendors and internal stakeholders to gather requirements, assess compatibility, and ensure successful deployment of applications.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to team members, assisting with troubleshooting complex issues and implementing solutions.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in Citrix virtualization, software deployment, and related areas.
- Change Management: Participate in change management processes, including reviewing proposed changes, assessing impacts, and implementing controls to mitigate risks.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in managing Citrix and terminal server environments, including Citrix Cloud.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory including Entra ID, and Group Policy.
- Scripting and Automation: Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation and task orchestration.
- Software Deployment Tools: Experience with software deployment tools and technologies, such as Microsoft SCCM, MSI packaging, or virtualization platforms.
- Language Skills: Good English skills are a must.
