At ib vogt, we're committed to advancing the global transition to renewable energy. As a PV Draftsman, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of solar energy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret engineering specifications and translate them into detailed technical drawings.
  • Draft mechanical and electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, and detailed drawings for PV projects.
  • Perform calculations to determine material requirements and dimensions, and prepare documentation related to drawings.
  • Modify and revise existing drawings based on design changes or specifications.
  • Prepare AS-BUILT drawings based on site manager and supervisor feedback.
  • Assist Engineering Managers in creating standard drawings and templates.
  • Identify and report potential design problems or inconsistencies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in CAD software and technologies.
Requirements
  • An academic diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with experience in renewable energies or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Draftsman or in a similar role, drafting mechanical and electrical engineering layouts.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SolidWorks, or Inventor, and PV-specific plugins like Helios 3D and PVCase.
  • Strong understanding of drafting principles and conventions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with any other language an advantage.
