About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tech Lead to join our team at Safe, a decentralized custody protocol and flagship wallet for the Ethereum ecosystem. As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for scaling and leading our wallet tech team, driving technical thought leadership, and influencing the future of the Safe project.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure technical quality, scalability, and security of Safe Wallet
  2. Collaborate with stakeholders and leads across product, engineering, design, and QA on Safe Wallet strategy and roadmap processes
  3. Provide in-depth feedback on strategy, roadmap, and other product topics
  4. Contribute own ideas and feedback on the product development process
  5. Lead and direct the wallet engineering team through technical challenges and performance goals
  6. Coordinate with Safe Core and external partners on technical decisions
  7. Manage mobile, web, and backend leads
Requirements
  1. Strong technical background in software engineering with progression to a strategic level (8+ years experience in various programming languages)
  2. Experience architecting scalable systems
  3. Ability to transition systems through different life cycles
  4. Leadership experience in engineering teams, including mentoring responsibilities and OKR outlining
  5. Experience building systems on scale using AWS/infrastructure/devops
  6. Leadership experience in CI/CD across multiple teams
Nice to Have
  1. Familiarity with Solidity, EVM, EIPs, blockchain projects, and smart contract concepts
  2. Experience with TypeScript, Python, and Kubernetes
  3. Knowledge of modern web tech stacks and mobile app development
  4. Extensive test suites and experience with E2E testing
