We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Level Designer to join our team at Social Point. As a key member of our game development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging and challenging levels for our Free-to-Play (F2P) game.
Key Responsibilities- Benchmarking and Quality Goals: Conduct thorough research on industry benchmarks and best practices to set clear quality goals for our game.
- Level Creation: Design and create new levels using various tools, following high-level objectives set by our Product Leads.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously learn and improve to achieve expected quality and 'fun factor' for our target audience. Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to address them.
- Data Analysis: Analyze level data to deliver insights and propose improvements. Analyze the game's economy to optimize its impact.
- Process Ownership: Take ownership of the level creation process, collaborating with developers and artists to oversee the implementation of new features and systems.
- Production Process Optimization: Improve and streamline the production process and content creation pipeline, applying efficient methodologies. Document and track the level creation pipeline, and Bugs/QA.
- Strategic Decision-Making: Determine the level design strategy, including layout, timing, gameplay elements, difficulty, and the overall fun factor of the game.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing levels for F2P games.
- Level Design Expertise: Strong knowledge of level design, flow, pace, and challenge balance.
- Data Analysis Skills: Usage and understanding of tools to get and process data (Tableau, Excel...).
- Technical Skills: Unity or Unreal Engine knowledge.
- Communication Skills: High proficiency in English.
- Passion for Gaming: Passionate gamer with in-depth knowledge of casual F2P games.
- Management Skills: Experience in managing a team.
- Project Management Skills: Experience in managing cross-functional project teams.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
