Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Big Data Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Malaga. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and implementing real-time data platforms and pipelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop a cutting-edge real-time data platform, including data streaming, data lakes, and blazing-fast analytics databases.
  • Implement complex data transformations, aggregations, and enrichment operations on streaming data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and high-quality results.
  • Support performance tuning initiatives and explore new ways to increase efficiency.
  • Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions to track pipeline health, data quality, and resource utilization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 2+ years of experience in data engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of database design and development, including experience with ETL processes and multidimensional data models.
  • Expertise with data ingestion using Kafka and Kafka Connect.
  • Relevant experience with data processing technologies like Apache Spark/Flink/Beam and Confluent's Platform.
  • Knowledge of Hadoop Cluster Architecture and hands-on experience with Cloudera Hadoop ecosystems.
  • Solid knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming languages, including Java, Python, and Scala.
