Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Architect to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for owning the technical strategy and architecture of our site products, across a vast portfolio of technologies.

About the Role

You will own the next generation Integrated Development Environment (IDE) that enables software companies worldwide to build, test, publish, run, and operate their applications in an environment comparable to existing world-class IDEs. You will work closely with external developers and the open-source community to gather feedback and evolve your products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver large-scale, resilient solutions that run and operate across millions of devices worldwide.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the streaming space and innovate accordingly.
  • Translate customer needs into technical solutions that meet and exceed expectations.
  • Work with global leaders to define your team's architectural vision and bring balance between technical innovation and strong business judgment.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation within your engineering teams.
  • Immerse yourself in your teams' entire software development lifecycle to have a hands-on understanding of the details.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience in professional software development.
  • Experience designing and building large-scale systems in a multi-tiered, distributed environment (Service-Oriented Architecture).
