As a Tax Advisor, you will collaborate within a dedicated team primarily located in Dublin, providing insights on tax responsibilities and implications related to broader business activities, while supporting audits and coordinating with external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support direct and indirect tax compliance across various jurisdictions, including overseeing the preparation of corporate tax/VAT returns with external advisors and managing pertinent tax payments, particularly focusing on the Group's obligations in Italy.
  • Assist with audits conducted by tax authorities.
  • Prepare and review monthly tax calculations and quarterly tax provisions under IFRS, while aiding in the maintenance of the Group's transfer pricing policy.
  • Contribute to the execution of the taxation strategy throughout the Group.
  • Review contracts with third-party vendors and business partners.
  • Engage with external advisors, revenue authorities, and auditors on various direct and indirect tax matters.
  • Provide guidance to the broader Group regarding the tax implications of business transactions.
  • Collaborate with the internal finance team to finalize statutory financial statements.
  • Work alongside the treasury/banking department to assist with cash movements, including distributions, loans, and cash flow activities.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification in Italian tax with at least 1 year of post-qualification experience and exposure to international tax matters in a large accounting firm or PLC environment.
  • Fluency in both Italian and English.
  • Strong understanding of Finance, Tax, Accounting, and HR.
  • Experienced tax professional with proven expertise in payroll taxes.
  • University degree in finance, accounting, or tax.
  • Excellent analytical skills are essential, with the ability to demonstrate initiative, strong interpersonal skills, and effective communication abilities.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Italian, French, or German is advantageous.
  • Ability to quickly learn and stay updated on developments in international tax policy.
  • Prior experience in the aviation sector is a plus.
  • A motivated, dependable, and adaptable team player who proactively contributes to problem-solving.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
