Position Overview:
We are currently seeking to appoint a Urban Designer in our Barcelona office to contribute to our ongoing projects and future initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess a professional qualification in urban design and/or planning, with degrees in architecture or landscape architecture also considered.
- Demonstrate approximately 5 years of experience in large-scale urban and master planning projects.
- Have a background in Middle Eastern master planning.
- Show proficiency in public realm projects, addressing both horizontal (streets, landscapes, public spaces) and vertical (architecture, massing, façade design) aspects, while integrating multiple disciplines.
- Develop comprehensive technical planning documents, including urban design guidelines, detailed site plans, sections, axonometric views, and diagrams.
- Coordinate with various consultants, covering mobility, civil engineering, infrastructure, finance, and zoning aspects.
- Effectively communicate the urban design and planning vision to a diverse audience, including clients, public officials, and the general public, both verbally and in writing.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to provide guidance on design, technical development, and approval processes.
- Engage closely with directors and partners to advance the agenda on urban futures, including trends in urban design, sustainability, resilience, mobility, ecology, and infrastructure.
- Assist the business development team with urban planning and design RFQs and proposals.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English essential for speaking, writing, and presentations.
- Possess strong knowledge of BIM, V-Ray, Rhino, and Adobe Suite.
