Cloud Engineer - Madrid - MotorK

As a Cloud Engineer at MotorK, you'll be part of a team of 5 cloud engineers, working closely with cross-functional teams across Europe and the UK. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the efficient management of our existing clusters and driving future improvements and best practices related to Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Increasing the efficiency of our software development lifecycle through best practices and infrastructure improvements
  • Building and providing tools to enhance developer experience
  • Improving and scaling our cloud infrastructure, ensuring governance, cost, and security are under control
  • Developing and improving platform monitoring strategies
  • Performing capacity management and load testing
  • Providing cloud infrastructure support for the entire Research & Development department

  • Orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker
  • Cloud: AWS, GCP
  • Web: Nginx, Cloudflare
  • Data: Kafka, MySQL, Postgres, RabbitMQ, MongoDB
  • Monitoring: Grafana, Loki, Prometheus
  • Code: PHP, Java, Groovy, Python, Javascript

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on production experience on Kubernetes, at least 3 years
  • Experience with at least one Cloud Provider, preferably AWS

Good to have

  • Understanding of SRE and DevOps practices
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD
  • Relevant experience with RDBMS (mysql, postgres), troubleshooting and optimization
  • Background in Linux environments as Administrator
  • Experience on scripting (bash, python)
  • Practical knowledge of networking, both cloud and bare-metal
  • Good knowledge of monitoring and log collection tools (grafana, prometheus, loki)
  • Experience with PHP or Java on k8s is a plus
  • Experience with OSS CMS (WordPress, Joomla...) is a plus
