Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Optimize application performance and scalability.
  • Implement security and data protection measures.
  • Develop and maintain unit tests using test-driven development practices.
  • Work closely with our test team to ensure comprehensive automated testing.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and libraries for incorporation into our products.
  • Contribute to our team's best practices to ensure fast and efficient delivery of new code.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Run performance benchmarking tests to ensure optimal application performance.

Requirements

  • Strong foundations in computer science, including data structures, concurrent programming, distributed services, and databases.
  • Experience developing web services in Java or Go using REST.
  • Understanding of test-driven development practices, including writing and maintaining unit tests.
  • Experience with Agile software development and building/deploying applications to Amazon Web Services.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Ability to take initiative and propose solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing/architecting highly available services.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
