Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Engineer to join our Avionics and Flight System Division. The successful candidate will lead the definition and implementation of firmware solutions, prepare FPGA specifications, and participate in proposals preparation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Firmware Solutions: Define and implement firmware architectures, components, interfaces, and requirements.
- Prepare FPGA Specifications: Develop detailed specifications for Field-Programmable Gate Arrays.
- Testing and Debugging: Test and debug developed firmware solutions.
- HW/SW Platform Understanding: Understand hardware and software platforms and define software and hardware interfaces.
- Break Down Solutions: Break down defined solutions into affordable firmware components and tasks.
- Participate in Proposals: Participate in proposals preparation and contribute to the development of technical specifications.
- Engineering Degree: Hold an engineering degree in a relevant field.
- FPGA Development Experience: Have between 2-6 years of experience in FPGA development, preferably in space or automotive markets.
- Firmware Lifecycle Experience: Have experience in all stages of firmware lifecycle, including requirements, architecture definition, implementation, validation, and integration.
- Firmware Architecture Experience: Have experience in defining and implementing firmware architectures.
- User Requirements Understanding: Be able to gather and analytically understand user requirements and provide guidelines for the solution.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to clearly articulate customer technical needs into technical specifications.
- High-Level English: Have a high level of English proficiency.
- Development Environments: Have knowledge of different development environments, such as Xilinx, Microsemi, and Questa.
- VHDL Programming: Have experience in VHDL programming.
- Simulink and Matlab: Have experience in Simulink and Matlab.
- Programming Languages: Have knowledge of programming languages, such as C++, C#, Python, Go, and distributed OS.
- Data/Signal Processing: Have experience in implementing data/signal processing solutions.
- Industry Experience: Have experience in space, automotive, or defense industry environments.
