Almirall is seeking a highly skilled Patient Outcomes Research and Advocacy Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will provide scientific expertise to research new and innovative Patient Reported Outcomes that can better demonstrate the burden of skin conditions and the value that our medicines can provide.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct desk-based research focused on Patient Reported Outcomes to gain a deep understanding of the published literature and identify potential gaps/opportunities that have not been studied in dermatology.
- Develop new and meaningful endpoints that can be further developed and tested in our clinical development and RWE programs through scientific discussions with Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs) and Scientific Societies.
- Identify and map out medical experts leading in the field of patient reported outcomes and value-based medicine.
- Engage in peer-to-peer level scientific discussions to develop projects and long-term collaborations with key academic research centers.
- Represent Almirall as the main point of contact with International Scientific and Research organisations.
- Develop strong and effective collaborations with relevant international PAGs leading to a better understanding of the needs of patients.
- Collaborate with the scientific committee of PAGs to develop scientific solutions that better identify the needs of dermatology patients and develop new and innovative PROs that can be used in our clinical trial and RWE programs.
- Minimum Master's degree in Life Science, PhD level preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Medical Affairs/R&D setting.
- Proven experience of developing RWE&OR data is mandatory.
- Professional experience in a Medical Expert Engagement/Patient Engagement or Advocacy, Public Affairs is highly preferred.
- Strong and proven scientific knowledge in the life sciences.
- Strong scientific understanding of dermatology/immunology.
- Analysing and interpreting data/statistics.
- A passion for advocacy and for making a difference for patients by engaging with integrity in the scientific/academic society and patient organization sphere.
- Empathy and active listener.
- Proven leadership skills in cross-functional global & local teams.
- Innovative thinking and strategic mindset that possesses a natural skill to build and strengthen relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluent written and spoken English language.
- Open for change and a flexible attitude can-do attitude.
- Results orientated.
