We are currently seeking a Facilities Operations Manager for our production facility in Reus (Spain). The successful candidate will be tasked with:
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to manage and enhance both technical and human resources, ensuring the safety, compliance, reliability, and efficiency of manufacturing equipment.
- Identifying and implementing solutions to optimize equipment performance and providing technical guidance on mechanical and material-related challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Addressing the equipment requirements of production lines.
- Establishing SAP preventive maintenance protocols (PM02).
- Developing a comprehensive annual preventive maintenance strategy.
- Coordinating with planning teams to execute the preventive maintenance schedule.
- Overseeing mechanical and electrical maintenance teams.
- Managing spare parts inventory essential for maintenance and tooling, ensuring industrial reproducibility. This includes creating SAP work orders (PM01 and PM03) and managing supplier orders and inventory.
- Conducting audits on line status.
- Managing outsourced legal projects.
Qualifications and Skills
Educational Background:
- FPII or Higher Cycle in Mechanics or a related field.
- Expertise in automation and industrial robotics.
- Experience in mechanical project development.
- Knowledge of machining production processes.
- Proficiency in mechanical manufacturing design.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within Maintenance, Engineering, or Technical Development departments.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in office software, particularly Excel and Word (intermediate level).
- Strong focus on safety and prevention.
- Proficient in English (medium to high level).
- In-depth understanding of production systems.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Ability to learn about plant equipment and its operations.
- Strong social and leadership abilities.
- Mechanical design skills (preferably in SolidWorks).
- Knowledge of PLCs is advantageous.
- Understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
- Effective listening and comprehension skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with process and product quality control.
- Inductive and deductive reasoning capabilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of job security functions and responsibilities as per document R-PP.
- Awareness of workplace risks according to the Risk Assessment document, with continuous updates as necessary.
- Active participation in the Health and Safety Management System.
