About the Role

The Electrical Engineering Manager will lead and oversee all electrical engineering activities within Vidrala Group, working under the coordination of the Engineering Director. This role will involve providing technical expertise, making strategic decisions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient upgrade and safe operation of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, analysis, and optimization of electrical utility systems for industrial plants, ensuring they meet safety, reliability, and efficiency standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide innovative electrical engineering solutions.
  • Develop detailed electrical plans, schematics, and specifications, considering technical feasibility and budget constraints.
  • Conduct thorough site assessments and inspections to identify potential electrical system upgrades and improvements.
  • Manage and oversee the implementation of electrical projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Co-lead the energy management process, with an end-to-end focus, contributing to the design and specification of energy infrastructure, energy-intensive assets, digitalization, and operational benchmarking.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to electrical engineering in industrial environments.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering or a relevant technical discipline. A Master degree is highly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position. Previous experience in industrial electric grids and power systems is highly preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work in complex projects in a dynamic international environment.

  • Willingness to travel.
