About the Role

Cisco Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team as a Regional EHS Program Manager. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving Cisco's global EHS programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement EHS Programs

Develop and implement global EHS policies, procedures, and programs that follow regulatory requirements and align with Cisco's goals.

Provide EHS Training and Education

Provide EHS training and education to employees, contractors, and other partners to foster a safe and environmentally responsible working environment.

Regulatory Compliance

Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies on EHS matters, including reporting, permitting, and inspections.

Incident Investigations and Root Cause Analysis

Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses for any EHS-related incidents, identify corrective actions and develop preventative action plans to prevent recurrence.

EHS Audits and Risk Assessments

Conduct regular EHS audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

EHS Documentation and Records Management

Manage EHS documentation and records in accordance with local legal requirements and Cisco's document retention policies.

Local Safety Committee and Corporate Safety Initiatives

Management and ownership of the local safety committee meetings and corporate safety initiatives.

Regional EHS Objectives

Support regional EHS objectives in EMEA.

Bridge between EHS Team and Local Partners

Being the bridge between the EHS team and local partners providing expertise, guidance, and support to enable understanding and compliance with EHS processes, systems, and requirements.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree and +5 years of related work experience in EHS or related field.

Specialist Training

Possess a minimum training accredited by a university in at least three of the specialties below: occupational medicine, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics and psycho-sociology.

Language Skills

High level of both Spanish and English language capabilities (reading, writing and verbal communication).

  • Communication and Social Skills

Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to influence and engage coworkers at all levels of the organization.

Technological Skills

Good technological skills and capable of learning new tools and software.

Project Management Experience

Project management experience.
