Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Ingredient/API Particle Engineer to join our team in Barcelona. As a key member of our API Process team, you will play a critical role in the development and optimization of our API manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise: You will be the technical reference for API process development issues, providing expertise on process technologies, powders, and API.
  • Process Development: You will support the development and optimization of API manufacturing process development and particle size development experiments.
  • Testing and Characterization: You will utilize advanced techniques for material characterization analysis, including particle characterization and PSD techniques.
  • Product Stewardship: You will identify and resolve API-related issues in manufacturing applications, stay updated with the latest development manufacturing process API, and provide technical leadership.
  • Due Diligence and Risk Assessment: You will participate in due diligence when selecting new API suppliers, identify potential risks and challenges related to manufacturing processes, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in particle engineering, small molecule, API, gained especially in MST or similar department experience.
  • Understanding of various particle characterization techniques.
  • Experience in process scale-up.
  • Formal continuous improvement qualification (lean sigma green).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Extensive knowledge of pre-formulation particle engineering and associated cGMP requirements in a pharmaceutical environment.
  • Strongly business-oriented.
