About the Role

As a Global Data Center Operations Manager at Reconocida Empresa, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our data centers, ensuring seamless execution of our business processes. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and lead a team of technical professionals to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage daily data center operations, including facility management, local technician supervision, and inventory control.
  • Lead a team of up to 30 individuals, evaluating their performance and serving as an escalation point for complex issues.
  • Develop and implement training programs, coaching, and overall development of data center team members.
  • Drive efficiency improvements, process creation, and daily operational integrity.
  • Manage data center assets, enforcing established policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with audits.
  • Monitor vendor and carrier performance, developing strong business relationships to ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with local facility engineering staff to maintain infrastructure systems and ensure adequate servicing.
  • Forecast capacity planning for space and power usage, ensuring optimal data center performance.
  • Manage multiple projects related to data center operations, from planning to execution.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of computer networking concepts and hardware installation.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team, with excellent time management and customer-focused attitude.
  • Understanding of facility management and data center infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with flexibility to work 24/7/365.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Intermediate knowledge of internet-related services and software.
  • Experience in IT/networking/web hosting, with certifications such as RHCE, RHCT, Linux+, MCSE, or CCNA.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
