KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and implement innovative network infrastructures within an open-source framework, focusing on virtualized environments. Develop, strategize, and enhance operational technology security processes along with vulnerability management in renewable energy facilities. Plan and execute the deployment of network architectures and segmentation. Strengthen software and operating systems (Linux/Windows) to ensure robust security. Engage in projects and provide advanced support, particularly for extensive and intricate wind energy installations globally. Assist in worldwide software distribution and automation of builds utilizing Azure DevOps. Collaborate with first and second level support teams. Diagnose issues related to the assigned applications. Create and maintain comprehensive software documentation for support teams. Work closely with various departments in a multicultural setting.CANDIDATE PROFILE:
A degree in computer science, telecommunications, electrical engineering, or a similar field with substantial practical experience in network engineering. Profound knowledge of operating systems such as Linux and Windows, along with familiarity in Java. Proficient in PowerShell and database management. Strong analytical skills and logical comprehension of complex systems and architectures. Solid understanding of firewalls, routers, and networking protocols. Knowledge of security protocols and devices including stateful firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, VPNs, IPSec, SSL/TLS, and Layer 2 security. Proficient in English (both written and spoken); additional skills in Spanish and German are advantageous. Highly organized with a willingness to embrace new technologies. Demonstrates initiative and a hands-on approach, alongside strong communication and teamwork abilities with intercultural awareness. Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
