Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our international People department in Barcelona. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the development of the human resources department, managing the entire selection process for new Good News employees, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of the human resources department:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement, retention, and overall organizational effectiveness.
- Carry out strategic projects for the improvement of the department.
- Participate in the development and implementation of projects and new procedures in the People area.
- Manage the entire selection process for new Good News employees:
- Manage hiring processes, from job postings to selection and hiring of new employees.
- Prepare employment contracts, welcome documents, and other employment-related paperwork.
- Job evaluation according to the collective agreement.
- Legal watch on changes in labor laws and regulations:
- Management of the Equality Plan.
- Ongoing review of Good News internal policies and making modifications if required.
- Management of the 7P model.
- Daily operational HR tasks:
- Contract changes.
- Document management.
- Timekeeping.
- Payroll processing.
- Cost reporting.
- Address workers' labor inquiries.
- Manage labor relations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Labor Relations, Business Administration, Law, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of previous experience in HR, preferably in the hospitality and/or retail sector.
- Advanced level of English, both spoken and written.
- Advanced level of French and/or Dutch is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
