About the Role
We are seeking an R&D Technician with expertise in microbiology and fermentation to join our team at our site in Granada. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing laboratory techniques, pilot plant, and analytical methods required in the development of ingredient production processes and/or applications and/or analysis of ingredients, active compounds, or biomarkers from biological samples and/or in vitro assays.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementation of laboratory techniques, pilot plant, and analytical methods required in the development of ingredient production processes and/or applications and/or analysis of ingredients, active compounds, or biomarkers from biological samples and/or in vitro assays.
- Conduct fermentation processes on a laboratory or pilot scale following technical protocols and/or instructions from the supervisor.
- Apply laboratory analytical protocols.
- Responsible for the use, condition, controls, and stipulated maintenance of the equipment used in the development of its activity: order, cleanliness, and good use of measuring devices.
- Updated inventory and control of raw materials and reagents.
- Attend industrial tests for plant implementation of the processes developed.
- Report deviations or anomalies detected in the system.
- Distribution and collection of study material and samples.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum training at FP2 level or, failing that, minimum experience of 2 years performing related tasks in a laboratory.
- Experience in microbiology and fermentation.
- Medium level of spoken and written English.
- Nice to have: experience with forklifts.
