Job SummaryWe are seeking an entrepreneurial, ambitious, and driven manager to lead and help build SolaQua as our new Head of Strategy and Operations. The ideal candidate will be a high-energy individual with a passion for creating projects from scratch, willing to be the head and heart of the company.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Formulate and drive, in conjunction with the Board of Directors, the mission, vision, and global strategy of SolaQua.
- Business Planning: Design and implement the annual Business Plan, executing the strategy for the coming year.
- Business Development: Drive the local and international business development, deliver on the objectives set, and actively co-create the activities as planned in the yearly business plan.
- Fundraising: Design and implement the fundraising plan and represent the company in all needed local and international fora, institutions, and events.
- Team Leadership: Build, lead, and maintain a high-performing diverse team by creating an inclusive environment and offering opportunities for staff to excel in undertaking their responsibilities.
- Strategy and Operations Expertise: A strategy and operations leader with more than 10 years of work experience and a minimum of 4 in a management position.
- International Business Experience: Ideally experience in creating and growing business models within international and matrixed environments.
- Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Spanish and English.
- Team Player: A true team player who creates trust; proactive and transparent, and fosters the right working climate.
- Adaptability and Ambiguity Tolerance: High tolerance to ambiguity and adaptability whilst keeping the right balance between short, medium, and long-term objectives.
- Technical Background: Technical background and/or a proven track record in the PV market, in PV self-consumption or irrigation systems for agriculture, are a big plus.
The Head of Strategy and Operations will build the SolaQua team which will be integrated into the same office space as the QPV team, a start-up with 25 employees and a pleasant working environment. The position will initially demand traveling around 30% of the time and a company car will be available.
