Your projects will involve collaborating with internal and external teams to design and implement innovative logistics systems. You will own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval, and will be our suppliers' primary point of technical contact for your projects.
As a Senior Intralogistics Design Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits. You will design highly automated fulfillment centers, cross-dock facilities, and transportation centers, using a variety of template-based and designed-from-scratch approaches.
We're looking for someone with a strong background in engineering and design, who is passionate about creating innovative solutions to complex problems. If you have experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and robotics, and are proficient in business/technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software, we want to hear from you.
What We're Looking For:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline) or foreign equivalent or a related field, or 5+ years Amazon experience.
- Experience in Design/Innovation Engineering, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, or related.
- Experience must involve ownership/management of engineering design projects.
- Experience using business/technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.
- Master's degree in Engineering (any discipline) or foreign equivalent, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field and at least five years of progressively responsible experience in the specialty.
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, robotics, and/or high-speed manufacturing.
- Experience with process design based on Lean Principles.
- Proficiency with concepts like system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making.
- Ability to travel 20%, including globally.
