About the Role

RINA is seeking a highly skilled Marine Surveyor to join its team in Algeciras, Spain. As a Marine Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of surveying processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply expertise in maritime rules, regulations, and industry principles to ensure compliance with classification and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare technically accurate and timely reports of inspections and surveys performed.
  • Maintain survey files in an orderly and up-to-date manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with new working methods and developments affecting the technical scope of assigned responsibilities.
  • Recommend new approaches to problems encountered.
  • Perform routine surveys on classed ships, platforms, or other marine structures.
  • Engage with clients to solve problems within area of expertise.
Requirements
  • Formal qualification in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Nautical School.
  • 2 years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Previous experience as a surveyor of IACS Classification Societies is a significant advantage.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, hazardous atmospheres, extreme temperatures, and weather conditions.
  • Fluent English language, both spoken and written.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work alone, in a team, and on tight schedules.
  • Ability to manage conflicts and negotiate.
