Data Science Engineer for Advanced AI Models

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Engineer to join our team at the Institut de Ciència de Materials de Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC). As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for developing advanced artificial intelligence models to extract chemical, physical, and biological properties from complex molecular structures.
Key Responsibilities- Model Development: Design and implement advanced AI models, including statistical, machine, and deep learning techniques, to analyze and interpret large datasets of molecular structures.
- Infrastructure and Workflow Development: Establish and maintain the infrastructure and workflow for data collection, including numerical data, text, and images from physical-chemical characterization.
- Multiscale Molecular Simulation: Develop complementary multiscale molecular simulation models for physico-chemical interpretability.
- Project Implementation and Reporting: Timely implement the work plan and provide regular reporting on progress and results.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Physics, Software/Telecommunications Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Permanent Contract: A permanent contract associated with the Momentum Project for a duration of 4 years.
- Competitive Salary: An annual gross salary of €95,000 according to the salary tables of CSIC.
- Training and Development: An extensive training plan, including a Master's degree in Data Science, specialized courses in Artificial Intelligence, a research stay at European research institutions, and further training courses in technical and soft skills.
