Job Summary

The Product Manager Digital Solutions will play a key role in the global product management team at Hitachi, focusing on the development and management of a digital application portfolio for Grid Edge Solutions. This position requires a strong understanding of digital applications and their potential to enhance customer value streams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies and business models for digital services and applications, analyzing customer and internal values.
  • Drive the development of market introduction and go-to-market concepts for new digital portfolio elements.
  • Own the product roadmap for Digital Solutions in Grid Edge Solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Support Sales and Business Development globally as a technical expert, providing competitive intelligence on digital offerings and related business.
  • Interface with R&D to ensure products meet market requirements, attending conferences and customer events to promote and discuss digital offerings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to drive the development and roll-out of digital portfolio releases.
  • Setup and manage partnerships with external R&D and production suppliers, collecting and clarifying requirements and driving prioritization with multiple stakeholders.
  • Support the R&D organization in continuously improving processes and ways of working towards increasingly lean and agile methods.

Requirements

  • University degree or tertiary education in a technical field with > 3 years of experience.
  • Experience in software and digital solutions, power systems, and/or plant automation, as well as knowledge in IoT infrastructure.
  • Strong team player with ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with competing and changing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with an open and direct communication style.
  • Ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously and interface with customers, cross-functional teams, and all levels of personnel/management.
  • Fluent in local language and English.
