Role Overview

The Global Technology Procurement Manager will serve as a key member of the Global Technology Procurement Team, responsible for identifying and managing strategic suppliers and partners that align with the company's technology objectives.

This role will involve managing competitive bids, negotiating contracts, resolving supplier and contract issues, ensuring adherence to procurement policies, and creating and driving savings and other incentives.

The Global Technology Procurement Manager reports directly to the Global Director, Technology Procurement, and can be based in any of Arcadis' Global GBA countries.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead Global Projects: Develop and manage global projects from bid strategy formulation to final contract negotiation, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  2. Develop Negotiation Strategies: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop negotiation strategies and gain buy-in from key stakeholders.
  3. Partner with Tech Leadership: Work closely with the Tech Leadership Team, legal, global Information security, and data privacy to create and drive technology strategy.
  4. Ensure Adherence to Procurement Policies: Ensure uniform adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and systems to deliver exceptional performance values for Arcadis and its clients.
  5. Manage Spend: Oversee spend in IT categories, including software, hardware, and services, to ensure optimal value for the company.
Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A degree in business, finance, IT, or a related field (Master's preferred but not essential).
  2. Significant experience working in indirect procurement, across technology, ideally across hardware, software, and IT services, within a large matrix organization.
  3. Experience as a strategic thinker, able to contribute ideas and perspective to procurement and tech leaders.
  4. Demonstrate experience leading multimillion-dollar deals, communicating and presenting to senior-level executives.
  5. Show experience in problem-solving complex contractual challenges and bringing a solution-focused approach with a client-focused mindset.

Additional desired experience includes:

  1. A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding, and proactive individual, able to motivate themselves.
  2. Possesses a client-focused approach, as demonstrated by a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work assignments and new learning opportunities.
  3. Knowledge of Oracle ERP.
