Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of the Finance department, you will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of the hotel, managing hotel assets, and ensuring a centralized accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and record goods deliveries
  • Record FB costs into the General Ledger System
  • Adhere to all cost control procedures
  • Update costings
  • Ensure compliance with documentation/authorisation processes
  • Process FB accruals
  • Monitor inventories of FB to increase inventory turnover
  • Participate in month-end reporting procedures in relation to FB stock and other tasks
  • Carry out weekly stock takes and evaluating potentials
  • Help with and maintain purchasing agreements
  • Maintain purchase system and ensure all items are up to date
  • Check and verify all reconciled inventory reports with book balance, actual count and unit costs
  • Troubleshoot if necessary
  • Ensure all the cost reports, daily, monthly, and yearly, are prepared and submitted on time

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business administration or related field
  • +2 years of experience in a hotel's accounting department
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Take ownership of important issues, solve problems, and make effective decisions
  • Learn quickly and adapt to SLS's unique culture
  • Be humble and open to ideas
