Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership:
- Lead the design and architecture of complex iOS applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, specifications, and solutions that align with business goals.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve our iOS applications.
- Develop high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor engineers to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize application performance, and ensure a smooth user experience.
- Improve our processes and tooling to enable us to deliver with confidence – test automation, CI / CD, observability, etc.
- Delivery:
- Lead and participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including planning, designing, developing, testing, and deploying iOS applications. This is a hands-on role.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of features and improvements.
- Proactively manage technical debt and ensure the long-term sustainability of the codebase.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts, trade-offs, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Previous experience leading iOS development, with a portfolio of successful iOS applications.
- Deep understanding of Swift and Objective-C, as well as familiarity with related frameworks and tools.
- Deep understanding and experience with different architecture patterns and ability to trade off pros and cons of each of them.
- Experience with modern iOS tools, frameworks, and working flows.
- Track record of leading and mentoring teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Expertise in performance optimization, memory management, and debugging on iOS.
- Familiarity with continuous integration, continuous deployment, and automated testing.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
- Strong understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
