We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of our high-voltage substations and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and mechanical engineers, to design and implement efficient and reliable electrical systems.
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Lead negotiations with contractors and vendors to secure the best possible deals.
- Manage project budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for cost savings and process improvements.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project risks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and goals.
- 5+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on large-scale electrical and mechanical projects.
- Demonstrated understanding of electrical engineering principles, including breaker coordination studies and switchgear sequence of operation.
- Demonstrated understanding of mechanical engineering principles for cooling systems.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects, with a focus on safety, quality, and budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
